I just posted a new blog on the fabrication and attachment of a crab pot line preventer or what ever you call it.

I still can't figure out how to post pic on here.  Any suggestions?

    I feel your frustration.
If a picture is worth a thousand words.
I'm forced to be a "man of a few words".
    I feel very handicapped.

I love my W32 and my Westsail Family.

There must be some logic behind all this.
An explanation must exist but I'm left in the dark.

Upload your picture to your online album and then just copy and paste it. use ctrl-v
(the ctrl key and the v key at the same time)

The image must reside on a web server or site somewhere. It cannot be residing on your computer, camera, flash drive etc. for a direct paste to the forum. The photo is then loaded from the server. You are actually pasting a link. If the photo is subsequently moved or deleted from the server it will also disappear from the forum. Are you guys still up around Fernandina Beach? I'll be up this weekend. Love to see Mary Rose!

I'm a little late seeing your post, Don. But, great job on the preventer!  What I have now is rather inferior and I was wondering how to handle it. I'm going to have to copy it, if that's OK. Thanks for the idea.

I guess I must be a little dense, but I don't understand what I'm looking at in this photo.  Around this neck of the woods (PEI, Canada) the waters are full of lobster pots, crab pots, and, in the inlets, mussel lines so motoring here is a bit risky.  It would be nice to install a shoe under the keel near the rudder post to prevent snags --- is that what I'm looking at?  A drawing might be even more useful.  I think I'll also have to invest in a line cutter to prevent prop lockups.
