    Someone in the owner's group has to take point and organize the interested parties. I already tried and it wasn't worth the effort.

    Let me know when you have enough interest to do another run, again a minimum of 14 sets. Then I'd need a deposit of $100 per set before I place the order. I am not in a position to finance the whole thing myself again.

    I still haven't paid for my initial investment of the tool itself, so I'd be adding 10% onto to final invoice from the manufacturer.

    I'm in for one set and I think you should add 20% not 10% so you can recoup your investment.

    Nice idea, but that would make it even harder to get people to commit.  It's already +/- $150/set.

    This was a long term deal, there's lots of 32s out there, I'll eventually break even. I'll need some more of my own someday.  Almost two years in and they're holding up well.

    An updated quote from the fabricator for 13 sets, is $140/per for a total of $1820, and for 26 it would be $135/per for a total of $3510, based on a half or full sheet of 14ga naval bronze.

    I am dealing with a new guy, as his predecessor has retired. I think he is quoting 13 pairs instead of 14 in case of breakage. I am sure if they were to squeeze out another set they'd charge full price.

    So, now someone here has to get organized and round up some interested buyers. Decide how many you want, send me the 10% ($182 or $351) via paypal or whatever and I'll initiate the manufacturing.

    It makes more sense for the point person to pay the manufacturer directly - the fabricator is not set up to receive individual payments, etc. To save on local taxes (12%) and to lower customs brokerage, I'd suggest you have them shipped to one address in the states, the most central, and then re-package them and ship to the individual members.

    Let me know what you come up with.

    I came across this and began to question if it would work? Yes it's a long shot but I need hawse pipes badly and for 20 bucks its tempting. 

    I envisioned I would need 2 and place a lap joint to one using a sheet-metal bead tool. I just wonder about the size and quality. It has a slight taper that may actually help the seam but I am not 100%. 

    I bet I could tig weld these in also but how the heck do I get a tig welder to my bullwarks lol.

    By my math, that is thirteen sets (two Mikes, 4 each, 1 Brian x 4, Edward X 1). Now one of you has grab this by the horns and send me some do-re-mi (10%) and I'll place the order.

    Edward, I just want to make sure you understand that a set is one hawsepipe, an inner and outer sleeve for one gunwale, not one set for each side of the boat.
