Driving Directions:

If you’re traveling from the south (Seattle area):
Follow I-5 north to Conway and take Exit 221 to La Conner. Turn left at the stop sign after the exit
ramp, cross over I-5, then turn right at the gas stations. Follow the signs to La Conner. This route twists
and turns a little but will bring you right into the town of La Conner and Morris Street. The La Conner
Visitor Information Center is located at 511-C Morris Street, which is in the second block of Morris
Street (after the roundabout) and on your right.

If you’re traveling from the north (Vancouver):
Follow I-5 south and take Exit 230 at Burlington, then turn left at the stoplight heading toward
Anacortes on WA-20 W.  There are highway signs directing you to turn left at the stoplight at La
Conner-Whitney Road – the best landmark for this turn is Farmhouse Restaurant, on your left. Follow
La Conner-Whitney Road going south until you reach the roundabout that leads into La Conner.

Boating Directions: Chart #18427 – Anacortes to Skagit Bay
If you’re traveling by private boat, La Conner sits mid-point in the Swinomish Channel just to the east of
Whidbey Island and Deception Pass Bridge. You can enter the Swinomish Channel either from the south
(Oak Harbor / Skagit Bay) or the north (Anacortes / Padilla Bay). Experienced boaters highly
recommend that for a safe and enjoyable trip through the channel, use your charts for navigation and
closely watch the daily tide fluctuations. There are many mud flats that every year cause havoc for
unsuspecting boaters. Docks are provided by the Town of La Conner and the Port of Skagit County’s La
Conner Marina. There is a fuel station and pump-out station, as well as marine supplies and experienced
mechanics. La Conner is a perfect overnight stay, with options for shopping, dining and re-provisioning.
