Most of my cost included cut fees and yes I figured it was over inflated prices. Also the quote was for wood that was much larger than I needed because the mill only sells the distributor a certain size. I was going to purchase a 4x6 they were out so he quoted me for a 6x6 cut to 2.5" x 4" x 57".
Why is wood measured differently than a tape measure? I want a 2x4 and end up getting something much smaller.

As soon as I figure out this back stay issue I may just forget the boomkin all together. I do need a boom gallows and I'm trying to envision my safety lines connecting without a boomkin.
