Hello everyone,
Just bought a W32 here at the easternmost end of the Mediterranean. Bought it a couple days back here with the intention of motoring it about 300 nm east to here where i currently live.
My intention was to take it on hard in the fisherman's wharf near where i live and do a major refit/restoration on it on my own time. I thought it should take a year or two to make it the capable blue water boat it was designed to be.
Second day on my journey from where i bought the boat some debris of some kind got stuck between the propeller and the rudder and both seized the engine and broke the rudder.
I got myself towed back to the nearest marina here and at the moment sitting on hard with a broken engine and a broken rudder, considering the options of truck hauling the boat to the destination and start from there.
Anyhow, for the purpose of this post, this is sufficient. So hello everyone.
I am by the way recording each and every step of the journey so far and planning to share it with you fellow owners in the near future.
I am guessing i will benefit a lot from the collective wisdom of this group. So get ready for my questions folks.
Boat Name is CANKIZ (pronounced somewhere between John-kiss and Junk-as)
