The Annual Pacific Northwest

Pacific Northwest Westsailors Unite!  Annual Rendezvous is just around the corner!  Bring your Westsail, or at least your Westsail Passion!

Bud Taplin, Carol Hasse, Lisa Vizzini will all be here to share their knowledge of Westsails, Sails, Cutters, Rigging and safety at sea.  Sit around the firepit or under the Gazebo or tent and regale us with your cruising tales or dreams.  Ever wonder how people have addressed their caprails?  How we fit two quarter berths on our 32 ?  Composting heads?  Showers… ooo.  Come, explore, and share, and marvel at these wonderful “can do” boats and owners.

Don’t forget to track Gary on S/V Elizabeth Ann in this years Single Handed Transpac!

Driving directions:

Port Ludlow can be accessed from State Route 104 coming from the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry or from Highway 101 to the west.  On SR 104, drive to SR 19 towards Port Townsend.  Take a right on Oak Bay Rd down into Port Ludlow and stay to the north side of the bay until you come to the marina.

Sailing directions:

Port Ludlow is located on the Kitsap Peninsula. It is accessed from Admiralty Inlet and across the mouth of Hood Canal.  If sailing south, be mindful of the small islands north of Port Ludlow and check your charts for the buoys.  If sailing from the south, give Foulweather Bluff a respectable clearance before making the turn to cross the Hood Canal entrance towards Port Ludlow.  Keep a close watch as you enter Port Ludlow for crab pots.  It must be good here as there are often dozens of pots during the season.

Marina Information:  Port Ludlow Marina, Latitude 47 55.30’, Longitude 122 41.10’, welcomes you to the pristine shores of Puget Sound where guests and residents enjoy the best of waterfront resort activities and living.

With 300-slips and accommodating vessels up to 200’, the marina is perfect for a Yacht Club Cruise, Rendezvous, or getaway.  The goal is to provide an experience that will make us your favorite Puget Sound port of call.  Guests of the marina have access to wireless internet, shuttle to The Resort’s 18-hole championship golf course, showers, fresh water, shore power of 30-amp and 50-amp, a Party Barge, covered Pavilion and a BBQ Pit with gazebo.  The Port Ludlow Marina store provides gifts, groceries, beer and wine, full-service fuel dock, gasoline, diesel and pump-out services.

From this protected cove on the shore of Admiralty Inlet, at the mouth of Hood Canal, chart your course anywhere in Puget Sound, or up and down the west coast.  Come and explore the waterways and coves of Ludlow Bay, play golf on our 18-hole championship golf course, kayak along the shoreline, enjoy the Waterside Inn, great restaurants and experience the type of waterfront resort lifestyle found only at The Resort At Port Ludlow.  Port Ludlow now offers both Kayak and SUP rentals !

The more boats, owners/crews and wanabees the better.

Let your dockmates know about the rendezvous.

See you there August 1, 2, 3 !!!!!!!!
