Weems & Plath windlass chainsize

    I have the original, manual anchor windlass with a gypsy marked 5/16 and "AW57".

    I wonder if any member knows if I can use 5/16" high test chain with this gypsy?

    The tapered pockets on the Weems and Plath manual windlass gypsy will accept either 5/16"G4 or 5/16"BBB as the pitch dimension difference is only .09mm.
