Hi Luis , there is a YouTube video titled Little Bear Westsail 32 refit : The stick goes up ! Vlog #125 .

Also , (sorry if you already know) there is a chapter on the subject in Bud's manual .

The last two times we dealt with the mast I hired the crane , first time we lowered it in the slip . Remember that Bud ?  Yikes ! That was 94' .

Second to the last time we ran into the frozen tabernacle pin . First we did the Sawzall , then we heated it up with a rosebud tip and welding tanks (butane torch won't do it) then came a drift punch and a 5 # mallet .

I forget the size of the pin I think it was 3/4 . Any how the original  pin was machined to a very close fit for the mast tube . The replacement I made out of a bolt (a very long bolt) all I needed was the shank . The bolts shank was under sized compared to the mast tube by about .015 . Buttered it up with anti seize , and it came flying out the last time we pulled the stick . Yes I burnt the wiring .

I have the video on my computer.  Since it is1.72 GB in size, I can't send it by email.  I can burn a copy on a DVD though, and if you want one, email me at bud@westsail.com.
